We must reverse the deterioration of Lake Tahoe; there is no margin for error when it comes to absorbing any new increase in pollutants. A regional plan that encourages new development risks pushing the lake to a tipping point,  when pollutants will overwhelm our ability to reverse the decline. See the rapid growth in algae since large scale development that began when the Olympic Games were held in the Tahoe area in 1960.
